Twin giant panda cubs turn have a happy first birthday at Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo is celebrating one full year of twice the cute.

It was back on Oct. 13, 2015 when the zoo announced it was home to the first giant panda cubs born in Canada.

Jia Panpan (Canadian Hope) and Jia Yueyue (Canadian Joy) have grown from two tiny cubs to healthy, playful one-year-old pandas.

“The challenges balanced with the number of joyous moments over the last 365 days have provided a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us here at the Toronto Zoo, and we are thankful to everyone who shared it with us along the way,” the zoo said in its YouTube upload of the cubs’ birthday party.

The twins are scheduled to move to the Calgary Zoo, with their parents, in 2018.
